Applications are now open for our 16th Summer School ‘Consumer's Rights and Market Regulation in the European Union’ held at Udine's University from the 12th to the 21st of July 2023. 

 

Within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “CoRiMaR” (2020-2023), the University of Udine (Italy) organizes the 16th edition of the Summer School, in cooperation with a consortium of European universities, now including University of Essex (UK)De Montfort University (UK)Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara (Romania)East Anglia University (UK)University of Rijeka (Croatia)University of Belgrade (Serbia) and University of Szeged (Hungary).

 

Our goals are:

• To offer a blended and intensive training, focusing on transnational developments at the EU level;

• To promote the sharing of knowledge, experiences and practices between participants from different countries;

• To help participants in developing incisive reasoning skills and other soft skills such as team working, problem solving and argumentative reasoning.

 

The 2023 Summer School will consist of 40 hours of lectures (10 hours online and 30 hours in presence), a workshop and a moot court. It aims to provide a comprehensive training on the legal discipline of consumer protection and market regulation in the European Union Law, with a particular reference to digital technologies, taking into account the following relevant topics:

1) Consumer protection and empowerment issues;

2) Private international law issues;

3) Dispute resolution and redress issues;

4) Market regulation.

 

The Summer School is designed for undergraduate students, graduates who graduated no more than five years ago, PhD students, from faculties of Law, Economics, Political Science or International Relations.

 

The application deadline is 31st May 2023, 12.00 pm GMT. Applications received before 30th April 2023, 12:00 pm GMT will benefit from the early-bird registration fee. 

 

Selected students (depending on their home institution) may be able to translate their participation into ECTS points.
